Get Your Card Back
If you signed a card when a union organizer came to your door, you can request the card be returned to you. If the union in your state has been recognized, you do not have to pay full dues. You are allowed to revoke membership during an opt out period which could save you money in reduced fees. Contact us to learn more about revoking your membership.
If you signed a card with AFSCME in Minnesota, even if it was many years ago, and it was NOT your intent to join or support the union, you should request to have your card returned to you. Send a request that says;
"I hereby revoke membership in AFSCME/CCPT. Please remove me from any list showing support for your union. I am asking that my card
be returned to me immediately."
Email your request to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Or mail it to:

Spread the Word!
Every child care provider has the right to all the facts. Help get the word out to providers in your area. Here are some ways you can help.
Host a Child Care Union 101 Training
This workshop that tells you everything you need to know about unions and family child care. Learn how much providers in other states are paying for dues, what the union has and has not accomplished, the structure of unions and how it differs from associations and learn about all the organizations out there working for you right now. This training is done from a neutral perspective allowing providers to decide for themselves whether or not unionization makes sense for their business.

Send Informational Postcards to Providers in Your Area
