Get Your Card BackIf you signed a card when a union organizer came to your door, you can request the card be returned to you. If the union in your state has been recognized, you do not have to pay full dues. You are allowed to revoke membership during an opt out period which could save you money in reduced fees. Contact us to learn more about revoking your membership.
Send a request that says; "I hereby revoke membership in (AFSCME/CCPT or SEIU Kids First.) Please remove me from any list showing support for your union. I am asking that my card be returned to me immediately." If your request goes unanswered or they refuse to return your card, email us at childcareunioninfo@gmail.com and we will help. |
Spread the Word!Every child care provider has the right to all the facts. Help get the word out to providers in your area. Here are some ways you can help.
Host a Child Care Union 101 TrainingThis workshop that tells you everything you need to know about unions and family child care. Learn how much providers in other states are paying for dues, what the union has and has not accomplished, the structure of unions and how it differs from associations and learn about all the organizations out there working for you right now. This training is done from a neutral perspective allowing providers to decide for themselves whether or not unionization makes sense for their business.
Contact us at childcareunioninfo@gmail.com for more information. Send Informational Postcards to Providers in Your AreaTell us where you live and we can make a postcard for you to send to the providers in your area.
