Thank you for recommending our website!
and recommending our companion Face book page  Childcare Providers who are Happy to be Union Free.  Keep in touch and informed!

Welcome to our website!

There are many groups working independently to oppose the unionization of Minnesota's licensed family child care providers. Our group, the Coalition of Family Child Care Providers, is comprised of licensed family child care providers.
After working individually for several years, we joined together for the purpose of educating child care providers, parents, community members, and our elected officials about the family child care unionization efforts of AFSCME and SEIU.  In the beginning (2005/06), these unions shared very little information with providers; they still share very little information.  Much of it was - and still is today - misleading or incorrect.
We believe providers have the right to know exactly how child care unionization will affect them and their businesses and have worked hard to locate that information, document it, and make it public.
Our coalition/group is fortunate to have free legal counsel from a nonprofit organization, the Nation Right to Work foundation, and it has filed a federal suit on behalf of child care providers on January 19, 2012. It's important for providers to know that this legal advice/counsel is free.

These providers from our coalition are available to directly connect with you.
